"People are interested in characters and situations, so we wanted to first capture the spirit of the perfume, and the spirit of Candy’s personality, as someone who is playful, who has a sense of mirth and delight. The stories we concocted have this sense of playfulness, and they touch on the mysteries of relations between boys and girls."There are certain things in life – music, food, sensual things and so on – that all relate to one another through a mysterious kind of connection. And fragrance is definitely part of that. All these things are capable of evoking feelings, memories, imagery and associations, yet you can’t quite put your finger on them. We wouldn’t presume to try to precisely articulate what it is, but there does seem to be some relationship between these other forms and fragrance. And they all play a role shaping in film."Set in a Parisian utopia, Candy finds herself questioning love on the Left Bank as two men fall in love with her. With Nouvelle Vague feeling, join her on a voyage of seduction, rivalry and… birthday cake. Sweet. Prada Candy L’Eau is available exclusively at Selfridges from today.
